From the start, including her final collection at the Shenkar School of Design, Dania Heller has stood out with her prestigious urban style.  Since then she has joined her brother Yoram in Los Angeles and together they have formed the family label, The Hellers that is currently being sold in Israel, London and L.A. (ed. note – more cities coming!) The Hellers are a boutique label with items made of shining silk, taffeta, chiffon, cotton and lycra, in bright colors and crazy prints.  The collection includes impressively designed dresses that emphasize straightforward design that gives an Alice in Wonderland meets an Electro dance party look a la Lady Gaga (who received a dress from the recent collection that features a big shoulder bow).  The siblings have not forgotten about the men either – Dania has designed a select collection of original tailored hooded jackets, which we recommend buying now to keep around for the cooler dates – Pharrell Williams already sports one.

The body is a unique deadstock cotton pastel degrade from Germany.  Reminds me of Easter.  Pistachio, lemon, pink lemonade.

These headbands are each made from our personal favorite deadstock materials with vintage belt clasps from the 60s.

Outershell: Linen with a light layer of gold.

Lining: The hood, front and back come in a satiny silk jacquard floral. The sleeves are white satin.

All that – and fully Reversible – special zipper and all!!

Lining and hood: 70s polyester with sketched in stripes in tans and dark browns. Definitely don’t make them like they used to.

I have to admit, I’ve been a bit possessed lately. I think it has to do with discovering a bunch of amazing new deadstock material and all the love we’re getting online.

In the works (and very soon to come out): cocktail dresses, sundresses, strapless dresses, high waisted skirts, belts, and if all goes well, bathing suits!!!

This is the first jacket we produced.  It’s a heavy cotton drill that has a bit of lycra for some added strech.  It resembles a dark denim with a sheen.

Heidi is one of my best friend’s, Jamie, best friends. I don’t remember when I met her, whether it was in college or later, but I remember seeing her drawings on Jamie’s walls and I always loved her work. Last year I saw her at a wedding and two weeks later she emailed me some of her latest drawings. One of the drawings really inspired me and I decided that it needed to be part of the Artist series.

I met Andreas online through flickr.  I loved his eye. After seeing one of his prints, I was on a mission to incorporate one of his designs into our work.

I still have never spoken to him.
